The examiner demonstrates the proper technique for the Hornblower’s sign. The patient is seated on the examiner’s table. The patient’s right shoulder is placed in 90 degrees of abduction and 90 degrees of external rotation with the elbow also bent to 90 degrees. The examiner asks the patient to hold this position.
